ReFrame Disaster Recovery Home Repair Fund

Disasters such as tornados, hurricanes, and floods cause massive infrastructure damage and create health, safety, and housing crises. This is why we have launched a fund to assist nonprofits repairing homes in communities recovering from disasters. While other organizations provide funds for initial disaster relief, ReFrame is focused on long-term disaster recovery home repair projects.

The fund was started to assist with the March 2021 floods in Kentucky and is now available for home repairs related to disaster recovery anywhere in the United States. Our goal is to fund building materials and tools that will be used to repair homes occupied by low-income people whose needs exceed resources provided by FEMA and insurance. As of September 6, the fund totals $15,455. The majority of these resources are available in the form of Lowe's e-gift cards. Thank you to Lowe's Home Improvement for making the ReFrame Disaster Recovery Home Repair Fund possible!

Nonprofits may request disaster recovery funds for home repairs. ReFrame is committed to ensuring all pass-through funding assists programs representing diverse geographic service areas and program types. All organizations assisting with home repair disaster recovery projects are encouraged to apply. Please note that $5,000 in Lowe's e-gift cards has been earmarked for Kentucky, and that $455 in cash is designated specifically for Hurricane Ida relief. Additionally, $5,000 is designated for new members. ReFrame membership is not required to apply for funds, but it is required to be able to receive funds. Learn more about membership here. The final $5,000 has no geographic restriction and may be accessed by new or existing ReFrame members.

The deadline to apply for the first cycle of funds is September 24, but funds for the first 5 new members to join ReFrame will be released on a rolling basis.
